AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Toyota offered an apology Friday morning, but not another recall.

Two recent recalls are keep dealerships pretty busy. Friday, the president of Toyota admitted there are problems with the some anti-lock brake systems on the 2010 Prius Hybrid. But even still, he is not ready to issue another recall.

The 2010 Prius is the latest Toyota under investigation for brake problems. The president of Toyota is still deciding whether to recall the 2010 gas-electric hybrid.

Meanwhile, he pledged to take steps to address the issue that could affect as many as 270,000 cars in the United States and Japan.

Part owner of Northtown Automotive's Craig Schreimer said, "We have not received a single consumer complaint or customer complaint at our dealership having to do with this."

Schreimer said,  the problem with the Prius is unrelated to the recall in January of eight other models for accelerators that could get stuck. If your car is affected you will see a silver piece on the inside of the pedal. The problem takes 30 minutes to fix.

Another recall from November has Toyota consumers concerned their accelerator pedal could become trapped by the floormat. That recall takes about two hours to complete.

"I feel like Toyota is really going to take care of it, they have to, it's going to hurt their ratings otherwise," said Toyota owner Maggie Pollack.

According to officials at Toyota, if you are affected by the recall you will receive letters from Toyota. To help customers, starting Monday, Northtown Toyota will keep its doors open 24 hours a day until Friday.
