BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York State Police want residents to know they are prepared for the approaching winter storm. Troopers are coordinating with local Emergency Operations Centers across New York, as help respond to an increase in service calls for evacuations and medical emergencies.
You can monitor the arrival and departure boards on WIVB.com’s travel page.
Stay with 4 Warn Weather to get the latest weather information.
Police are encouraging motorists to avoid driving during the storm, and to be aware of changing weather and roadway conditions. They are reminding drivers that entrance ramps and bridges can be icy, even when other road surfaces are not.
Troopers are telling drivers to remember to clean the snow and ice from your entire vehicle. If you become stranded, police say to stay with your vehicle and in an emergency dial 911.
