EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A parent from the Town of Boston and 31 teens are in trouble
with the law after Sheriffs said they busted an underage drinking
party.
Erie County Sheriff Deputies charged 57-year-old Paul Taylor
with 31 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and 31 counts
of unlawfully dealing with a child. Deputies also charged 31
youths, most of whom they are seniors at East Aurora High School.
Deputies arrived at Taylor’s home around 3am Monday
morning and found teens camping out with alcoholic beverages.
Officials said Taylor’s daughter was hosting a party and he
provided some of the alcohol to the teens.
Superintendent of East Aurora High School James Bodziak said
a school resource officer received a text from a student about the
drinking party Sunday and contacted East Aurora police who in turn
contacted the Sheriff’s Department.
Taylor and the 31 teens were issued appearance tickets and
are scheduled to appear in court in July.
The Sheriff’s Department unveiled a drinking tip line
in April. Callers can leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-851-1932.
