BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Despite some promising signs of economic recovery on Wall Street, the job front remains a badly bruised market.
The unemployment rate in the Buffalo-Niagara region rose to 8.4% in September, marking one of the highest rates in more than 25 years.
In the City of Buffalo, the jobless rate now stands at 10.8%.
It's even worse in Niagara Falls, where more than 11% of people are out of work.
