BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo's Extreme Makeover has inspired volunteers to improve another section of the west side neighborhood.
Re-Use Buffalo started taking down a second house on Friday at 369 Normal Avenue.
The green deconstruction project is an early start on a home that was already slated for demolition.
Volunteer, Rachel Mathews explained, "We take down the house piece by piece so that we can salvage the re-useable building materials. Most of the stuff that was inside could be re-used, sinks, tubs, things like that they salvaged last week. Now we're just taking it apart so that we can re-use the wood, the bricks, the foundation stone."
