Air conditioners are hot item in WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - As you can guess, air conditioners are the hot item these days around western New York. They're sold out in a lot of stores, though as of Tuesday, the Home Depot and Orville's Appliances, in Cheektowaga, both had them in stock.

Experts say it's a good time to check and clean your AC filter to keep it running well and bring down your electric bill.

“This particular Whirlpool, it pops off the front and you can remove it from the grill and you just wash it in your sink. Once its clean you can reattach and pop it right back into the air conditioner,” said Orville’s Appliances Store Manager Tyler Goelz.
