BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo's most famous art gallery is celebrating a milestone birthday.

The Albright Knox wrapped up Founders Week, celebrating its 150th anniversary. Gallery Director Louis Grachos announced work is finished to restore the grand staircase. This event also wraps up the decade that Grachos spent as head of the Knox.

"We really appreciate the warmth, the generosity, the strong community spirit and support that you've given me personally and my family here over the last 10 years, so thank you Buffalo for everything," Grachos said.

The gallery offered free admission to visitors for Founders Week.
