BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Senator Mark Grisanti won his primary, against Kevin Stocker by a wide margin Thursday night.

On the Democratic side, Michael Amodeo cruised to victory over Al Coppola and Chuck Swanick.

The race between State Senator Tim Kennedy and Erie County Legislator Betty Jean Grant is too close to call, but Kennedy is up 271 votes Friday morning.

In Niagara County, there was no surprise that incumbent George Maziarz won his Republican Primary in the Senate’s 62nd District, over challenger Johnny Destino.
