HAMILTON, ONT. (WIVB) - The Anchor Bar opens its first franchise north of the border Friday, just in time for the SuperBowl.

The Hamilton Spectator reports the restaurant will open in Jackson Square at Noon.

Canadians are reportedly lining up to own an Anchor Bar franchise, home of the famous Buffalo chicken wings. There have been 100 applications so far for franchises.

The Hamilton location will feature huge murals of the original Buffalo Anchor Bar and pictures of founders Frank and Teressa Bellissimo.
