BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Today is the anniversary of a fire that left one of Buffalo's bravest comatose for nearly a decade.
When a home on Inter Park Avenue caught on fire in 1995, the roof collapsed trapping Don Herbert inside.
Herbert was critically injured and was in coma for almost 10 years.
Shortly before his death, he woke up from his coma and got to speak with his family members.
The firefighter died in 2006.
