ATV crash claims teen's life

INDEPENDENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - One teen is dead and another is hospitalized after an ATV accident in Allegany County Tuesday night.

Around 10 p.m. at ATV driven by 16-year-old Kyle McPherson, of Andover, went off Heselton Gully Road and down a ravine in the Town of Independence. McPherson and 17-year-old Jocelyn Saunders, of Genesee, PA, were thrown from the vehicle.

Saunders was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allegany County coroner. McPherson was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with head, neck and leg injuries.
