Board to discuss teacher transfers

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Controversial teacher transfers in the Buffalo School District will be the topic of Wednesday night's Board of Education meeting. Board members are set to make a decision on whether or not to appeal a recent decision in State Supreme Court.

Earlier this month, Justice Gerald Whalen upheld an arbitrator's ruling that the transfers violated the BTF contract. The transfers are part of a state mandated plan to turn around three Buffalo schools.
