BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - There is a new leader of a popular art gallery in the Queen City. Dr. Janne Siren is now the 11th director of the Albright Knox Art Gallery.
The board of directors held a welcoming ceremony Tuesday morning. Dr. Siren says he is looking forward to begin working in the Buffalo community and bringing some changes to the art gallery.
Siren said, “I think that if we can be pioneers in the field of combining traditional modes of presentation with contemporary ones, technological ones, we can really make a significant footprint in that arena."
Siren earned his college degree and PhD in the United States, and has served as the Director of the Helsinki Art Museum in Finland since 2007.
