AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 14-year-old boy is facing four felonies and a misdemeanor, after Amherst Police say he is responsible for two incidents at Sweet Home Middle School in one month.
Police say the student burglarized the school on Maple Road, and did over $3,000 damage on December 16th. He was taken to Family Court and was released.
About a month later on January 13th, police say the same student burglarized the school and did over $1,000 damage. He was petitioned to Family Court and is now in detention, awaiting his arraignment.
He is facing two counts of third-degree burglary, one count of second-degree criminal mischief, one count of third-degree criminal mischief, and one county of possession of burglar’s tools.
