WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The community came together today to help a boy whose allergies are so serious, he cannot attend school in person.
RELATED | Last month, News 4 told you the story of 7-year-old Devin Carrow.
The West Seneca Schools made it possible for a robot to have a place in the classroom so Devin can learn from home.
The Seneca Babcock Center hosted a fundraiser for Devin. The proceeds will pay for travel to a Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where Devin will receive treatments.
Devin explained to News 4 how he makes the robot move at school, while he sits at home. He says he can control it from a computer at home and it moves around under his control.
Due to the severity of his allergies, he must avoid any kind of food with milk, peanuts, or eggs.
