LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - Boys and girls held a vigil at Children's Park in Lockport today for the children and teachers killed last week in Newtown, Connecticut.
Kathryn Kiley who organized the vigil says, "Very emotional, it was difficult letting go of the balloons, very emotional. When I was writing the names down today, I had to switch papers because I didn't have enough room, but hopefully now we can go on for a better situation of peace."
Members of three elementary schools joined in a chorus to sing as a tribute to the 20 students and 6 adults who lost their lives last Friday.
