Bridge inspection to occur on I-290

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Drivers may want to avoid a portion of I-290 Tuesday night, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced a bridge inspection will occur on I-290, between I-90 and I-990, in Amherst. The portion of the roadway will be subject to intermittent lane closures in both directions.

The DOT says at least one lane will remain open at all times. The work is weather dependent and may be delayed in the event of bad weather.
