BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - A deadline for the completion of a splash pad in Buffalo’s Martin Luther King Park has come and gone without the water attraction being finished.

Earlier this week, News 4’s Luke Moretti reported that the leader of the coalition, Sam Herbert demanded the contractor to wrap up work on the pad by Saturday.

Herbert said the east side community waited long enough while 8 other splash pads opened earlier in the season. As a result, he wants the U.S Justice Department to further investigate.
