BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New Yorkers fed up with the state’s new gun laws are looking to make their voices heard. Sixteen bus loads of people left Buffalo before 5 a.m. Thursday. They are headed for the state capitol in Albany, for a rally against the SAFE Act.

One of the protestors said they originally planned to take one bus to Albany, but as word spread their group grew as big as 16 buses.

State lawmakers will get an earful Thursday from supporters who want the entire new gun law overturned. A few hundred people poured into the capitol for a gun rights rally two weeks ago . Some 10,000 people are expected to raise their voices at an even bigger protest.

Assemblyman David DiPietro, who represents East Aurora, will speak at the rally Thursday in Albany.
