NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A NYS Trooper was struck by a vehicle Monday morning on the 190 in Niagara Falls.
Eric Smith of Lewiston lost control of his vehicle from the snow and ice. He left the roadway driving through the center line before going airborne.
Smith struck a NYS Police Tahoe with a trooper inside the vehicle at the time. The trooper was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Smith was charged with failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent.
AN investigation is underway.
