BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Catholic Charities has set its annual goal for what is called the “drive that never fails.”
Bishop Richard Malone announced the organization is aiming to draw in $10.7 million with the 2013 appeal.
The money raised helps fund Catholic Charities’ sites across western New York, including food pantries and counseling centers. This year’s theme is “protect, strengthen, empower.”
Bishop Malone said, “It’s the same theme as our successful 2012 appeal, and inspired by the three core principles central to the work of Catholic Charities. This theme articulates how our efforts together benefit the community, benefit the common good of our people and all of those who turn to us for help.”
Catholic Charities raised more than $10.7 million last year.
