EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Village of East Aurora began getting into the Holiday sprit today with a little help from the Grinch.
The Aurora Theatre on Main Street hosted a screening of the Jim Carrey film, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
People watched the movie for free and saw an exhibit in the theater lobby filled with props, costumes, and other items that were used to make the film.
David Howes who owns the Grinch props says, "Including the Grinch's sleigh which is one of only two which were ever made, and the most authentic still in existence, makes it probably the best place to see it, because you can't even see it in Universal Studios."
There were even people wearing costumes from the movie as well as the Will Ferrell flick Elf.
Today's event helped raise awareness of the Matthew Foster Foundation that helps families with children who are being treated for cancer.
