BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An East Side Church community shared the holiday spirit with the less fortunate today with two celebrations.
The House of Prayer, Praise and Worship in Buffalo held two holiday events which provided toys and other gifts to Western New York families.
Pastor Greg Fulgham says many of the 100 families they serve are from local homeless shelters and the gifts mean so much to them. "It means coming from most likely a drug background, just coming from a hard family lifestyle. I think this is giving them something that's positive and something to look forward to this time of the year."
Throughout the year, the church also provides blankets for the homeless and al alternative trick-or-treat site for Halloween.
