TORONTO, ONT. (WIVB) - A permanent Cirque du Soleil facility could become part of a new casino resort complex North of the border.
MGM Resorts is sweetening the pot in its negotiations to run a Toronto casino by promising it would include a permanent Cirque facility.
The Toronto Star reports that MGM Resorts International is pushing the idea of a Cirque du Soleil destination, an outpost for the company that is based in Montreal.
The top brass from MGM have been talking casino plans this week but they aren’t alone. Reports are that Caesars Entertainment has reps in the city as well.
MGM is lobbying for a 1,000 room hotel and convention complex to be built at Exhibition Place.
