DARIEN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police are investigating a gun shot in Darien that was a close call for a man standing inside his own home.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s office reports a .45 caliber slug whizzed by within a foot of the man’s head inside his home on Broadway Road, Darien.
Nobody was injured but the slug, which possibly came from a rifle–barreled shotgun, caused an estimated $1,000 damage. It passed through a sliding glass door at the rear of the home and stopped when it barreled into a panel door.
Anybody with information that may assist in the investigation is asked to call (585) 343-5000.
