BUFFALO, NY - The debacle of the City of Buffalo paying health insurance premiums for some dead city employees seems to have gotten only worse.
The Buffalo News reports that the city is investigating claims filed on behalf of 80 families whose insurance was mistakenly extended.
The situation is resulting in many questions, such as - whether or not the city go after reinbursements event though the city itself is to blame for not removing the names from the insurance lists.
The latest revelation comes nine months after the controversy came to like in January. Auditors then warned the city that it was paying health insurance benefits for a number of dead employees.
