AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Friends and family gathered in Amherst to make music and remember a teenager who died last year.
Bassett Park hosted several musical acts at Rockin' for Rice on Sunday.
It's named for Alix Rice, who was struck and killed while riding her skateboard along Heim Road last year.

Not only is the concert to show support for Alix's family, it's also to raise money for a skate park in her memory.
"We're selling shirts, bumper stickers, all in memory of Alix, all have Alix's name and picture on it," Said Alix's cousin Dan Price. "They're all to raise money for the skate park we're trying to build."
Organizers estimate as many as 500 people attended Sunday's concert.
