A deputy was outside of the vehicle speaking with officers at the Arrow Mart when Herthum allegedly stole the vehicle. Through an on board GPS system, officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle a short distance later.
The vehicle was not damaged other than a few knobs to a radio in the vehicle. Herthum is accused of having a .20 percent blood alcohol content.
Herthum was arrested for felony DWI, aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, grand larceny and criminal mischief.
Herthum was arraigned and committed to Wyoming County Jail on $20,000 bail.
