ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - A spokesman from Jim Ball told News 4, the BMW they were selling for $62,944 is no longer for sale.
While the VIN number matched the VIN number on the car driven by Dr. James Corasanti, the night he hit and killed Alix Rice, the spokesman said they had no idea it belonged to Corasanti.
News 4 first discovered the vehicle was for sale at Jim Ball on Thursday evening.
Jim Ball's spokesman explained the dealer never owned the car. They never had the title and were selling the BMW for a third party.
The dealer's website lists the car as "sold" but News 4 is told that is an automatic setting, when a car listing is taken off their advertising services. The car's sale has been terminated.
Corasanti was acquitted of manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter. He is currently serving a one-year prison sentence for misdemeanor drunk driving.
