NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Country music singer Scotty McCreery spent last Friday with some of the biggest stars at Aquarium of Niagara.
McCreery was in town for a performance at the Rapids Theater. Well in town McCreery, his band, and family all arrived visited the aquarium around 1 p.m. They were greeted by the Aquarium personnel and split into smaller groups to enjoy a VIP experience.
McCreery's first encounter was on stage with Arie, a four-year-old female California sea lion. After tossing a few fish to Arie, he got to meet Opus, a Humboldt penguin who was born at the Aquarium in 1988.
McCreery is first known as the American Idol winner in 2011, and made history when he was the first country act to debut at No.1 on Billboard 200, with his first studio album.
