Cuomo pushes for casino in the Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - On Sunday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced he is pushing for a new casino in the Falls.

The Buffalo News reports Cuomo wants to build a non-indian casino in the Cataract City in which there are already three Seneca-run casinos.

An on-going dispute between the state and the Seneca’s could be behind this move.

The Seneca’s owe the state more than $500 million dollars in Casino revenue.

They say they’re not paying because the state has violated its casino compact.
