WILSON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara, Orleans and Chautauqua Counties are still under a Lakeshore Flood Warning Tuesday morning. There could be very high waves and rising water along the shore of the lake.
The scene along the Lake Ontario shoreline is certainly spectacular, it's also dangerous. Winds Tuesday morning are gusting at more than 40 mph. The waves of Lake Ontario were crashing on the shoreline, more than 10-feet high Monday night.

Spectators watched the waves at the shoreline Monday night, and emergency officials had to ask people to leave because it was so dangerous.
Wilson Volunteer Fire Company Chief Russell Jackman said, “Everybody just wanted to catch a glimpse, you called it the perfect storm. They all wanted to catch a glimpse of what Lake Ontario look like with 20 foot waves. The waves were bigger than normal down there, yes, I'll say that, but I don't think they reached 20 foot proportions tonight.”
