BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Thursday marks a somber anniversary for the Buffalo Fire Department. It’s been 29 years since five firefighters and two civilians were killed when a propane tank exploded inside a warehouse on North Division Street.

The blast leveled an entire city block. Each year, city firefighters observe a moment of silence at 8:23 p.m, the exact time of the disaster.
