Deadly crash in Amherst, kills woman

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A two vehicle crash on Sweet Home Road just south of the Rensch Road entrance to the University at Buffalo killed a woman from North Tonawanda on Saturday.  The accident happened at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The driver of one vehicle, Patricia A. Amato, 55, of North Tonawanda, was transported to ECMC where she was pronounced dead.

Police say Amatos' vehicle swerved into the north-bound lane and struck a pick up truck.
