CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Erie County Sheriff's Deputy pulled a teen to safety Thursday night, on a bridge in Clarence.
The sheriff's office says Deputy Lee Richard responded to a call concerning a distraught 15-year-old girl who was on a metal railing of a bridge. The deputy tried to talk the girl off of the railing, and feared he couldn't. Richard moved in closer to her until he was able to grab her around the waist and pull her from the railing.
The girl was taken to ECMC for evaluation.
