Dog census to be conducted in Tonawanda

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - (RELEASE) The Town of Tonawanda Police Department will be conducting a dog census throughout the Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore.

All dogs identified during the census will be checked for valid New York State dog license.

If a resident is found harboring an unlicensed dog, they will be given five days to acquire a license.

The New York State Agricultural & Markets Law requires that all dogs four months of age and older must have current New York Sate dog license.

A current rabies certificate is required to purchase a dog license.
