LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara County Sheriff's Office responded to a mental health call in the Town of Lockport Friday night.
According to a woman, her 33-year-old husband, who had access to several firearms, made threats to harm himself.
Due to the incident being so close to the Lockport High School that happened to be hosting a swim meet, the building had to be evacuated.
After several attempts to reach the man, he was reached via phone and came out of his home peacefully.
He was transported for a mental health evaluation.
