TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former school Basketball coach in the northtowns will serve 30 days in jail for sending inappropriate text messages to students on his team back in June.

Robert Leary, 29, learned his sentence in the Town of Tonawanda Court today.

In June, the ex-Ken-Ton Coach pleaded guilty to two charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and for Aggravated Harassment.

Leary sent sexually-suggestive messages between June and December of last year, asking for similar messages in return.
