FAA to release list of airport closures

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - There could be some changes on the way for air travelers. The forced spending cuts that went into effect earlier this month are threatening to close a local air tower. It’s expected that we will find out this week if the airport will close.

NFTA Spokesperson Douglas Hartmayer said, “If this does happen, and there’s no assurance that is. But if it does we’ll react accordingly, I’m sure to minimize any impact on either airport.”

Another cut that could be made at airports is, the overnight crews may be eliminated. This could cause delays for passengers.
