BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - There's a special election for New York State Assembly next month and a man running for that vacant seat opened his campaign headquarters Saturday.
Elected leaders joined Chris Fahey, who's seeking the 145th district seat covering parts of Buffalo and the south towns.
Fahey pledged to promote good government and add jobs to western New York.
Chris Fahey said, "We can change the way we regulate the electrical industry to cut costs for consumers but also make our factories and our call centers and our data centers and our offices more cost competitive so that we can bring in jobs from other states."
Former Assemblyman Mark Schroeder left office after being elected Buffalo City Comptroller.
The special election in the 145th district takes place on March 20.
