Falls residents vote on school upgrades

NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WIVB) - Voters in Niagara Falls are going to the polls today to vote on a $67 million capital project for the city school district.

The state will completely fund the project but first the voters must give their approval.

Renovations for schools will include science labs in each district school, two at the high school. It also funds installation of new communications systems, wireless networking and fire alarm upgrades.

Some of the other features include high definition color cameras to be installed for security in schools as well as electronic entry cards.

Polls will be open until 9 p.m.
