ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The 2012 Bills season came to a merciful end on what ended up being the coldest game of the year.
Judging by the way fans at the Wings Flights of Hope tailgate lot continued to support their struggling team, you wouldn't know this team was last in the AFC East.
Bills fans say it's a sense of pride for them to show up regardless of the product on the field, or the weather.
Jesse Hamms, a Bills fan from Maryland said, "You get your fair weather fans and you get your hardcore Bills fans and those are the people that are here today,"
Where many would call Bills fans crazy for prepping for the game in freezing weather, others live for it.
Todd Clark of Lancaster said, "Bills tailgating in the winter is one of the best things. Me and my family have been doing it for years. We've had season tickets since I was born."
The Bills may have slid from pre-season expectations, but you could say not everyone minds going downhill.
While it's obvious Bills fans can have fun in the snow regardless of their season, most fans here say change is needed.
James Swaitek of Elma says, "They need to clean house. I mean it's the same thing over and over; 12 year playoff drought. They need to do something. It's got to start at the top down."
Just remember Bills fans; the new year means a fresh start overall. 2013 though could mark a new beginning for the Bills overall.
