TOWN OF GREAT VALLEY, N.Y. - Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting at a home in Cattaraugus County.  State police and sheriff's deputies responded to Route 417 in the town of Great Valley early Saturday morning.

58-year-old Henry F. Ackley was shot and killed just before midnight. Back in 1986, Ackley was in jail charged with Sodomy in the 1st degree, and was released on parole in 1991.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb said, "It's very, very early in the preliminary stages of this investigation, and we can confirm that we have one deceased person."

Authorities have not yet said if they have made an arrest. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office is expected to release more information later Saturday.
