BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A tragic scene played out on city streets, as a young life was cut short by senseless violence. Friday morning, family members of the victim say they're just trying to make sense of everything.
Twenty-eight-year-old Quincy Balance, Buffalo father, was taken in an instant by gun violence, gone too soon. Buffalo Police marked off at least a dozen spent shells at the crime scene on Stevens and Northland Avenues. Balance was killed in a hail of gun fire.
A close relative spoke to News 4 off camera, she said her nephew was riding in a Chevy Blazer with two other people, who she thinks were working against him.
The victim’s aunt said, “And they had it out for him. In other words, he came over here, and got set up.”
The victim’s aunt says it’s not the first time her family’s been affected by violence, and she wants it to stop.
“Basically we’re tired. We had three deaths in our family, and this, this is senseless. This doesn’t make any sense.”
