Finnish director to lead Albright-Knox

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - A new directorfrom Helsinki, Finland has been selected for the Albright Knox Art Gallery.

The Buffalo News reports that the director of the Helsinki Art Museum Janne Gallen-Kallela-Sirén will take the reins of the Albright-Knox by early Spring.

The 42-year old Siren succeeds Louis Grachos, who left the gallery for a job in Austin, Texas.

Sirén attended several school in the United States including the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts and has held university and museum positions in several European cities.
