Fire burns down home in Royalton

ROYALTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Crews responded to a house fire in the Town of Royalton just before 5:30 Saturday morning.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when several fire companies arrived on the scene. It is estimated the home is a total loss.

Three people inside evacuated safely including homeowners, Thomas and Barbara Vendetta who were taken to the Lockport Hospital for further treatment of smoke inhalation.

The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is now looking into what caused the fire.
