ST. CATHARINES, Ont. (WIVB) - A 19-year-old Ontario man is under arrest after authorities found a woman's body after a house fire in St. Catharines.
Cassell Farnsworth is facing charges of 1st Degree Murder and Arson: Disregard for Human Life after authorities discovered the body of Madeline Hood, 19, in a basement apartment after extinguishing the blaze at the East Hampton Road residence.
Niagara Regional Police say the victim and the accused knew each other.
Farnsworth is being held in custody. A bail hearing scheduled for July 9th.
