BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A minor fire shut down a part of Delaware Avenue, near Gates Circle, for a short time Friday morning. Delaware Avenue, between Lancaster and Auburn Avenues, re-opened around 6 a.m, but disrupted some early morning commuters.
Residents of the building were evacuated but let back in around 6 a.m.
Fire officials say there was something wrong with the elevator motor in the building. No one was hurt.
