SHERIDAN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local fire department is mourning the sudden loss of one of their own.
Ronald Keddie was found unresponsive in the Sheridan Fire House, in Chautauqua County on Wednesday.
It’s believed he suffered a medical emergency while he was preparing to respond to a call.
Keddie was well known in his community, serving as past chief and commissioner of the Sheridan Fire District. He also served in Vietnam.
A wake will be held on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Mackowiak Funeral Home on Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
Keddie's funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Sheridan Fire Station.
