BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A late-night fire sent one of Buffalo's bravest to the hospital and forced a family from their home. Flames erupted at the Parkdale address around 11 p.m.
While fighting the flames, crews say one firefighter suffered burns to his face and hands, thankfully he is expected to be okay. For those on the scene, it was a job, well done.
Buffalo Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Biasillo said, "These guys as far as I'm concerned, they're the best in the business. They do a phenomenal job day in and day out and they don't get enough credit."
Three kittens were also saved from the burning home.
At this point there's no word on what sparked the fire.
